The Benefit for Pace and breast cancer Research

Last Friday was a busy day for Pace. She had a Chemotherapy treatment at 2:00, dashed to the airport to catch a 5:30 flight, endured the predictable delay and then gracefully socialized with family, friends and supporters till 11:30.

Thanks Maggie for picking up Pace at the airport and getting her to the venue.

The event was held at The Century Room, very cool, great club, with a good looking and helpful staff.

June Morrow was wickedly funny.
DJ Mr. B. of the Vinyl Factory spun an upbeat relaxing and funky groove.
The Hot Knives took that groove and made it live.

About 11:30 Pace came to me and said "Honey, I'm tired let's go."
"Does that mean we'll take an hour saying goodbye or does that mean now." I replied, because we really don't like being one of the first to go home, especially when we have babysitting for the wee one.

"Now!" She said.

I could see how the day had really drained her and that she was runing on fumes. So we quickly said goodbye to Craig, Dave and Don then bee-lined home; where we both slept in till 11:00am Saturday. Wow! I can't remember the last time we did that.

To everyone we didn't get to say bye to, thanks for making it out. It was so great to see you all.
